‘For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone’ – Audrey Hepburn
Karen and James are such a beautiful, good looking couple – they seem to descend directly from the Hollywood golden era, effortlessly oozing glamour and classic charm. How befitting then their choice of the wedding venue – the gorgeous Twin Palms Sinatra Estate in Palm Springs – a mid-century style historical gem with modern amenities featuring impeccable period decor, a piano shaped pool and a vintage audio system – all brought to life in an afternoon of community celebration, delight and laughter.
I fell in love with Karen and James right from the get go – they complete each other so beautifully! Karen is a fierce, dynamic woman while James is soft spoken and gentle. Together they’ve built a relationship based on love, acceptance and appreciation of each other. When I first heard about their choices of wedding venue and engagement location (hello Westworld fans!) I got super excited about shooting their photos and I was not disappointed! Every hunch I had about their exquisite taste in wedding decor was confirmed on the wedding day – attention to detail was the norm (something which I – as a photographer – particularly appreciate) and they’ve managed to create a truly personal event complete with a unique mix of music, excellent choices for a fun party!
It was such fun and truly an honor to photograph Karen and James’ wedding! Music is ingrained in their relationship and they managed to incorporate it into their special day in such a lovely way (we even took some fun photos in the Green Room where James proposed – talk about a personal touch!)
Congratulations Karen and James, may your lives be blessed with love and whimsy!
